I painted this for Earth Day 2017, which was the inaugural March for Science. This painting was inspired by my own memories as a child in the 1970s learning about Global Warming (it was called back then) and by the children I see now. It is somewhat melancholy because I am 55 years old and the crisis has gotten only worse since I was a child, not better. The symbolism of the NASA patch and the Lab Rat speak to the parallels of progress moving backwards and our children become the lab rats for the changes yet to come.
