Above the Noise: Nicholas Kanozik
Nick Kanozik (nickkanozik.com) is a multidisciplinary artist who creates visual music compositions. Trained as an orchestral conductor and composer, he works in watercolor, ink, and experimental notation. His practice is inspired by the work of Messiaen, Kandinsky, Scriabin, and others.
His current series, Above the Noise, features transcribed bird calls woven together with imagery to create tangible scores.
Above the Noise offers a reprieve from what tethers us … whether personal grief, regret, or fear of the unknown - honoring these moments, moving toward levity and joy.
