In my Cumulus series, collaged thought bubbles gather and swell just above the earth's surface. Belying these light vessel forms are dense journalistic layers of lists, news, diagrams and other fragments, that stream across the picture's surface. The strips undulate and echo shifting perspectives. In these works, I step back from the daily onslaught to hope and will something sublime to surface.
