Re-Imagining Our Footprint: Laura Abrams - Emergence Unfolding

Working towards a more sustainable future as an artist, I create work using found and recycled materials that focus on the natural world. 

In "Emergence/Unfolding," new growth emerges from harsh ground, as barren rocks and dirt give way to color and clear sky. This work features the vast ages in layers of earth, turmoil, earthquake, upheaval, and despite all, the determination of life to survive. Materials include recycled tissue paper, packing materials, and aluminum foil with garden soil.
