Artist Statement

Tug is the pull on your heartstrings—the ache of wanting more from someone who won’t give it. It’s the croak in your throat, the longing, and the sacrifices we make just to feel loved.

This artwork is about how ones craving for love influences the behaviors you call to be habits, and the identities you're willing to take on in order to be seen. The erotic surface of the painting functions as a mask—beneath it is a deeper yearning for love.

My work comes from my lived experiences, and reflects emotions and memories I carry—my paintings speak for my inner world that words cannot.
I work with different materials, yet every project shares a common thread: a search for honesty, beauty, and emotional release. I’m drawn to using secondhand materials. They bring their own histories, imperfections, and surprises, often shaping the direction of the work itself. Through them, I find a sense of freedom—a reminder that creativity often begins working with what we already have.
