Sunday, April 5 from 11AM to 2PM - a hands-on workshop where you'll learn essential stitches and techniques to bring new life to your worn and beloved garments with Van Tran.
We’ll cover how to stabilize stress areas, reinforce tears, and patch holes with colorful threads and fabrics through several basic stitches and mending techniques. You’ll leave with a solid introduction to mending techniques and materials, and plenty of inspiration for future repairs. Feel free to bring a garment or two—we’ll take time to troubleshoot repair projects together.
Cost: $65 - total includes a kit: hand sewing #30 thread, a skein of sashiko thread, needles, and cotton/linen canvas fabrics to sample on.
A fabric scrap bin, scissors, pens, and other sewing tools will be shared. Feel free to bring your own.
