Unlock the art of studio photography in this focused 2-hour workshop designed for beginners and photo enthusiasts. We’ll start with a quick overview of basic camera settings for working with studio lights, then move into hands-on practice with 1-, 2-, and 3-light setups. You’ll explore how lighting changes mood, dimension, and drama — including fun, spooky lighting designs perfect for the holiday season.
To make things even more exciting, we’ll be photographing a contortion model, giving you the chance to capture striking, dynamic poses and practice directing a subject in a studio environment.
By the end of this session, you’ll walk away with:

A mini portfolio of unique, dramatic images from your shoot
All levels are welcome, but participants should bring a DSLR or mirrorless camera and know how to switch to manual mode.

Leah Marie is a professional photographer with over 12 years of experience capturing everything from live performances to creative studio portraits.
