A chubby hand picks away a brown scab under which a red sore glows. My daughter developed a sleepy habit typical of toddlers and has yet to outgrow it. Almost to verify she is in the arms of her parents while falling asleep, her hand will seek out the birthmarks on our arms and jaws and scratch them until they bleed or she falls asleep.
