62 yrs ago I was the youngest to sign the ledger at the 11,548-ft summit of Mt Conness in Yosemite. I crossed its STEEP, beautiful glacier. Yosemite's glaciers have receded 80% in the past 140 yrs. Due to Climate Change, Conness Glacier (one of California's largest) is now melting so fast, it's likely to be gone in 5 to 10 yrs. We Californians count on a 1/3 of our drinking water from the Sierras.
