”My practice works with narrative. Within that conversation surrounding history, sound plays a major component of the production and performance of the work that is produced. As a lover of jazz, blues, and live instrumentation I regularly utilize the emotionality of these music types alongside my photography and installation work.
“Big Bodies” is the first in my paper on canvas series. Birthed as a piece that lived on the wall of my study in New York, it has been re-explored on canvas. By using my original photography, I make multiple paper copies of the singular image that creates abstract conceptual imagery.”
