Hand-Stitched Mini-Quilt Workshop
Join artist Alison Moncrieff in this 3-hour workshop to create your own unique mini quilt using the quilt-as-you-go method. You’ll learn essential tools, materials, and techniques that can be adapted to any scale. This workshop emphasizes personal expression, self-acceptance, and the joy of the process, where your stitch becomes your signature. Celebrate your visible knots and distinctive seams while stitching together in a supportive, creative environment.
All materials are provided, but feel free to bring a small piece of fabric to incorporate into your quilt if you’d like!
Artist Bio:
Alison Moncrieff (she/her) is an Oakland-based artist who transforms found and used textiles into expressive quilts. Her work explores the connection between hand stitching and emotional experience, as well as the evolution and deconstruction of traditional forms. Guided by love, curiosity, and a belief in the infinite ways things can turn out well, Alison uses her art to repair and deepen her relationship with life.
