Inspired by the scaffolding of partly constructed buildings and the way that light flickers through fences, the work is deals with themes of beauty found in decay and regrowth. I think about cities collapsing, pilling, and rising anew. I think about female bodies, others' and mine, undergoing the same shifts and continuing to prevail through insurmountable odds. The form that arises, tender and sharp, then becomes a vessel for light to gently fill the nooks within.
