Constructed with pieces torn from monotypes, this piece refers to both the beauty of the natural world and the destruction wrought by humans and manifested in climate change. It is sewn into a circular form because a circle can start anywhere, has no beginning or end and appears in many cultures and traditions as a symbol of unity and healing. I believe that to heal our broken world we must work together and draw upon the wisdom of indigenous peoples and traditions that recognize the interconnectedness of all life.
