While walking along the Berkeley Marina I saw this huge blue and white block floating in the San Francisco Bay. It reminded me of the faces of Alaskan glaciers and their calved icebergs. When I was told it was a car carrier ship it seemed a (im)perfect juxtaposition with a melting iceberg. These weird looking ships carry 13 stories of 5,500 climate-changing vehicles into the San Francisco Bay weekly.

Will we act together or keep waiting for our ships to come in as the waters rise around our illusions of the American Dream. This piece is subtly kinetic.
