A Beginners Guide to Colored Pencils
Saturdays May 17th, 24th, 31st, 10am-1pm
This three week workshop is for those who want to use colored pencils as their vessel to express their artistic talent but don’t know where and how to start. It is a beginner’s class so it does not require any background knowledge or previous experience, only passion and a readiness to have fun.
The workshop consists of three parts, each with its own theme - Abstract, Flowers, and Landscape. If you’ve joined us before, come again! Each session includes new projects and personalized support to help you keep building your skills.

Let’s Fabricate Simple Sterling Silver Hoops Earrings!

Join us at Abrams Claghorn Gallery for a hands-on jewelry-making workshop where you'll learn to create your own stunning sterling silver hoop earrings—no experience needed! In just two hours, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of transforming sterling silver wire into polished, wearable art. You’ll cut, shape, planish, sand, and polish your pieces, walking away with 1 to 5 pairs of unique, handcrafted hoops. Come curious, leave shining!

Gastronomic Printing with Potatoes
Fathers Day June 15th 2-5pm
Join food artist and culinary historian Carolyn Tillie for an afternoon of gastronomic printing making with potatoes! Using specialty knives, carvers, and cookie cutters, Carolyn will guide you in the creation of your own stamps to print a custom scarf, apron, tote bag, or handkerchief. All materials will be provided for one item, although extra items for printing can be purchased during the workshop for a nominal fee. Carolyn Tillie is known for her gastronomically-themed jewelry author of Feast your Eyes: Food Art from Apple to Zucchini.

Screen-Printing Basics with Julia LaChica
Saturday June 21st, 1-5pm
Join local artist and educator Julia LaChica for a fun, hands-on introduction to screen-printing using non-toxic, accessible stencil techniques. In this 4-hour workshop, you'll create your own design, print it on paper or fabric, and leave with your own original prints and new skills. Perfect for all ages and experience levels!

A Weekly Open Figure Drawing Session
The gallery will provide chairs and tables. Easels on request. Bring your own paper, pencils, pens, etc.
