In Reverence of the Feminine

In Reverence of the Feminine is an art exhibition featuring the work of 34 local artists who use their gifts to build imagery of empowered and healed feminine beings who are connected to their inner spirit, environment, and ancestrality. Our exhibit visualizes the multitudes the feminine resides in and how this essence within us all is deeply rooted in the wisdom of the land, our intuition, generational strength & peace keeping.

Lucile Henderson is a bronze and ceramic sculptress based in Oakland. She is currently empowered to make imagery of liberated feminine beings, as a way to manifest this reality into existence for the viewer and herself. This month's show, In Reverence of the Feminine, exemplifies her motivation to cultivate imagery of the divine feminine. This is the first exhibition Lucile has curated. The topic comes from observing artwork in her Bay Area community that has linked reconnection to nature, our inner spirit, our ancestors/guides to self-actualization. When we self-actualize, we have begun healing generational wounds which lead us to remembering our essence and finding empowerment within ourselves.

In honor of women's history month, Lucile has chosen to showcase art work of the empowered feminine essence, which as the selected artists agree, is not tied to how our body looks, but our way of being.
