Artist Statement

Based in Alameda | unceded Ohlone land

This work was born from an existential crisis. I searched for comfort and acceptance in the world around me. I wanted to find meaning in all the chaos. I hated my body and what it meant. I tried to find peace and hope in what I couldn't change. I found peace in ritual. I found solace in the tangible. I found home and silence in culture.
