Found Objects Drawing Workshop
Goal: drawing from memory, students will leave with 3 to 4 drawings
Blurb: Bring three portable objects to draw and share with the class! One object to share, two for
you. Extra objects will be supplied as well.
Supplies needed: Pencils, charcoal (optional), colored pencils (optional), paper, pencil
sharpener, eraser
Loose Structure:
-Begin with icebreaker/get to know each other.
-Drawing fundamentals, see what people know and talk about/share
-Gather objects in central setting, have people pick someone else’s object for first part
-Pick an object and study it for 5 ish min without drawing. Then put it away/out of sight.
-First drawing will be done from memory, 15ish min. Then place object in front of you and
draw another time. (probably longer)
-repeat with own objects, emphasis on seeing what is in front of them
-food break, stretches, etc
-create some sort of piece combining all three objects
Chloe just moved to the bay and loves to draw, befriend neighborhood cats, and dance. They
work as a tattoo artist in an Oakland studio, and have a passion for making art feel fun and
accessible to all! Some projects that Chloe has loved recently are working on a staircase chalk
mural in Santa Cruz, personalizing all their clothes with bleach paint and sewing bike frame
bags.
Workshops are fully refundable up to two weeks prior to workshop date. No Refunds within 14 days of the workshop date. Force Majeure: No refunds due to cancellation of a workshop or event due conditions beyond our control, ie. weather, earthquake, or other natural disasters. Refunds are given at the discretion of Abrams Claghorn.
